Around the World in 88 Tales - A Lamp for Diwali, a Crow for Halloween

  • Exeter Library Castle Street Exeter EX4 3PQ United Kingdom (map)

Would you sell your cow to a talking crow? Be entranced by this wondrously wild Palestinian tale learned from Hend Qattaa and retold by David Heathfield. Sandhya Dave will take you to the ancient land of India, where diva lamps were lit and monkeys fought to welcome back the most beautiful Queen & King. As you listen, you can discover the taxidermy crow, the woven Tzintzuan cow from Mexico and the beautiful Dhokra oil lamp from Odisha, India, as well as more amazing objects from the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. And you can share a tale too!
