During the day there will be of creative solo and co-writing workshops, with ideas taken from prompts and briefs and a themed exploration of song form. You’ll be given the tools and space to create original music and be empowered to perform to the group in an intimate and supportive setting.
The day will be welcoming, playful and satisfying, with a focus on trusting your intuition and making space for your creative potential.

KATHRYN WILLIAMS
Kathryn Williams is a Liverpool-born, Mercury Music Prize-nominated singer-songwriter with 16 albums under her belt. Before her last release, Night Drives (which entered the official folk album charts straight at number 2), the label OLI celebrated her career thus far with a 20-CD, two-book box set anthology strewn with her art. Her novel The Ormering Tide debuted to critical acclaim and she hosts her own popular podcast, ‘Before the Light Goes Out’. She is a regular songwriting tutor at Arvon, Moniack Mhor and The Writing Squad.
EMMA-LEE MOSS
Emma-Lee Moss is a musician, composer and writer. Under the name Emmy the Great, she has released four full-length albums, as well as numerous collaborations and soundtracks. Her most recent album, April/ 月音 (2020), was written in Hong Kong, her birth city. It was described by The Times as “an important document of a vanishing world.” Emmy likes using songs to tell all different kinds of stories. She has written an unusually large number of songs about Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice, and loves songwriting as community work. She runs regular songwriting workshops on self-trust in songwriting, and is in the process of qualifying for EAR-tification from the Centre of Deep Listening at Rensselaer.
Accessibility Statement: There are ‘free’ blue badge parking bays located at the White Hart restaurant, Shippon Studios and at Meadowbrook car park (near The Cider Press Centre). They are on a first come, first served basis and cannot be booked.
All other blue badge spaces are within main car parks and parking in these spaces requires payment (see the ‘getting here by car’ section above) or a valid membership with a parking permit.
For those staying at our hotel, parking is free to all in any of our main car parks. Two dedicated disabled bays are also available with an access ramp directly to hotel reception. Both hotel wings are on the same level, so all rooms are hypothetically accessible, but we recommend you contact Guest Services (see our hotel pages for details) to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
A disabled toilet facility is available for public use at our Higher Close building (point 8 on our core estate map).
Our gardens are fully accessible, with a wheelchair-friendly entrance and a step-free route that can be followed. Guide dogs are permitted.
