Spork! presents a brand new event, THE POETRY PICNIC! An interactive workshop and show that’s fun for all the family.
A snack heavy celebration of music and poetry, with poet Simon Mole and musician Gecko. We’ll play some fun (and very silly) games to get to know each other and build your confidence and skill with words, then help you pen a poem with the power to send your picnic blanket skywards.
Plus, we’ll play some Beatles meets Beastie Boys-style bangers of our own. An ideal activity for children aged 6+, but fun for everyone. The Poetry Picnic will take place indoors, on picnic blankets on the floor of the Exeter Phoenix Auditorium.
You’ll also be sent an activity pack (in the form of a pdf) when you book, which you can choose to print out and fill in before, during, or after the event. They’ll also be provided on the day!
Please note, this event is BYOB (Bring Your Own Biscuits.)
‘Poetry Picnic is a hamper packed show full of fun and delights!’
