About the author: Sophie is an author, zoologist, and science communicator.. She studied in Bristol for four years, gaining a First Class degree in Zoology (BSc) and a Distinction in Science Communication (MSc). Her masters research investigating the efficacy of digital platforms for science communication is published in academic journal Frontiers. Since then, Sophie has worked closely with many British environmental NGO’s, helping them to reach new audiences. Alongside her communications role with Beaver Trust, Sophie is an ambassador for The Wildlife Trusts, UK Wild Otter Trust, and sits on the RSPB England Advisory Committee. She is also a keynote speaker and freelance writer. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys wild swimming at home in Devon, riding her bike and hiking on the south west coast path with friends and family.
Accessibility Statement: Disability parking spaces are available in the lay-by in front of the shop. Ivybridge as a town is fairly flat with no steps, and quite easy to get around.
The shop is on the ground floor with the entrance at pavement level on Fore Street. The shop is set out with wide aisles, and is mobility scooter, wheelchair, pram, pushchair and dog-friendly. Seating is also available, for adults and little animal stools for children.
