Hannah Foley at St Thomas Library - The Tiger Who Sleeps Under My Chair

This half term, join local children's author, Hannah Foley, for an author event at St Thomas Library to celebrate her new novel, The Tiger Who Sleeps Under My Chair!

There will be an author reading, children's activities and face painting!

The Tiger Who Sleeps Under My Chair is a dual time line mystery story, set on the Jurassic Coast, with mental health themes.

The event is free but space is limited so please book via the library.

Hannah Foley is a Devon-based children's writer and illustrator who has been awarded the Kelpie Prize 2018 for her story 'The Lost Wizard of Nine Witches Wood' that featured Scottish mythology and just a touch of magic.


Accessibility Statement: The library has a short shallow slope to the entrance. There is an automatic door with a large button to enter and exit the library. There is a Blue Badge parking space just outside the library. The ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible. The library furniture and bookshelves are laid out in such a way to ensure wheelchair access throughout. The first floor is only accessible via stairs. The toilet and kitchen are situated on the first floor.
