Dartmoor Ranger Tim Russell shares his life story working to protect the land and wildlife of National Parks from Australia’s Outback to the Jurassic Coast and the wilds of the moors.
Throughout the book there are anecdotes and humour in the day-to-day life of a warden as well as poignant environmental messages. The latter chapters highlight the increasing recognition of the importance of nature and green spaces for improving people’s mental health and wellbeing, very relevant to our current stresses and strains in a covid-recovering, climate changing, war battered and uncertain world.
