Taking the Mic

  • Exeter Phoenix Gandy Street Exeter, England, EX4 United Kingdom (map)

Taking the Mic returns for another evening of have-a-go magic, hosted by spoken word artist and erstwhile Bard of Exeter Tim King.

Poetry is the mainstay of our show but we also welcome comedy, philosophy, theatrical acts and singer-songwriters. Every performer gets a five minute slot to showcase their talent.

Once again, we have 16 spaces up for grabs, so if you want to perform let us know by emailing  TTM@speakinsong.co.uk, or get in touch via the facebook group >>.

Come on, you know you’re bard enough!

Thanks again to everyone for your continued support, for providing a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where ideas can run wild and for the fabulous creativity and enthusiasm you always bring.
