The Bookery are delighted to be welcoming nature writer and farmer John Lewis-Stempel on Thursday 14th April, talking about his new book The Sheep’s Tale.

The acclaimed author of The Running Hare, restores the humble sheep's reputation from the stereotype of stupidity and cowardice and sketches an animal of tremendous loyalty and intelligence in this delightful slice of nature writing.

John's books include the bestsellers Woodston, The Running Hare and The Wood. He is the only person to have won the Wainwright Prize for Nature Writing twice, with Meadowland and Where Poppies Blow. He farms cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. Traditionally.
