Digital writer-in-residence, poet Tjawangwa Dema, is offering free, bookable 20-minute sessions via Zoom. Please bring at least one question or comment, or a piece of writing you’d like to discuss (either your own or another’s). These are not workshops, interviews or lecture-based sessions, so there’s no other preparation needed.

Tjawangwa Dema has worked as a spoken word poet for fifteen years. Her first full-length poetry collection, The Careless Seamstress, was published in March 2019 and won the Sillerman First Book Prize for African Poetry, receiving praise from US Poet Laureate Tracy K Smith.

Please note, these sessions will take place online via Zoom. There is space for two writers to book individual slots with TJ, between 10am and 6.20pm to ensure the greatest possible flexibility. Tickets for each time slot are limited to one, with a total of two available. If your preferred time slot is displaying as ‘sold out’, please select the next available slot.
