Did you know, we have rainforests right here in the South West!
Join The Woodland Trust for an evening of rainforest exploration. Discover why temperate rainforests are so important; learn about this rare and endangered habitat and the species it supports.
Award-winning broadcaster, Adam Shaw, will be our host for the evening with special guests including author, Guy Shrubsole and lichenologist, April Windle.
Guy Shrubsole’s recent book, The Lost Rainforests of Britain, is a public call to action to raise awareness of Britain’s unique temperate rainforest and to protect the remaining fragments.
April Windle, co-chair of the British Lichen Society education committee, has extensive experience in lichen education and conservation projects, including the delivery of workshops, surveys and practical conservation.
The Woodland Trust is working to ensure temperate rainforest thrives again, leading the way to protect, restore and create new rainforest where the climate is suitable.
