The Bookery Presents: Philip Reeve - Utterly Deep and the Face of the Deep

  • Crediton Old Town Hall High Street Crediton EX17 3LF United Kingdom (map)

Join The Bookery in Crediton for a live event with Philip Reeve to celebrate the publication of his new book, Utterly Dark and the Face of the Deep, an atmospheric dark tale of duty, legends, sea witches and love…

The Bookery patron, Philip Reeve, is the best-selling and prize-winning author of lots of brilliant children’s books including Mortal Engines, Goblins, and (with co-author Sarah McIntyre) The Legend of Kevin series.

Utterly Dark and the Face of the Deep is his first novel since 2019. ‘It’s the first time I’ve really written about magic except for comedy purposes,’ he says. ‘There are shipwrecks, witches, wandering weed monsters, and plenty of cakes. I think it’s one of the best things I’ve done.’

Cost: Signed book & ticket £8 // Ticket only £4
